Is there a monthly fee for this VPN?
No. This is a one-time in-home setup, not a subscription. The VPN runs on a dedicated router in your own home, so once it's configured and tested there's nothing to pay every month. You own the whole thing. Commercial VPN apps charge you every month forever for a service you never actually control - this replaces that.
Do I actually own it, and is my traffic private?
Yes on both. The VPN lives on hardware in your home that belongs to you. Your encrypted connection goes straight to your own network, not through a company's servers, so there's no third party sitting in the middle keeping logs of where you go. It's your tunnel, your hardware, your rules.
Can I reach my home devices and files while I'm traveling?
That's the point of it. Once you're set up, you get a secure connection back to your home network from anywhere with internet - your files, your cameras, a home server, network storage, whatever lives on your network. Do you come to my home to set it up?
Yes. This is an in-home service across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We bring and configure the dedicated router, set up the WireGuard VPN, load the connection onto the phones and laptops you travel with, and test the whole thing end to end before we leave - including a real test from outside your network so you know it works.
Do you offer same-day or urgent setup?
Often, yes. If you're leaving town and want this working before you go, contact us and we'll tell you the soonest we can be out. We keep same-day and next-day slots open across DFW for urgent jobs.
Why not just set up WireGuard myself?
You can try. WireGuard is powerful, but a working setup means dedicated hardware, keys generated and matched correctly, your home router and firewall configured to let the tunnel in without opening holes for anyone else, and every travel device loaded and tested. One wrong setting and it either doesn't connect or it's not actually protecting you. We do the fiddly part right and hand you something that just works.
