Terms of Service

Last updated: June 13, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

Techrepair DFW LLC ("Techrepair DFW," "we," "us," or "our") provides mobile computer repair, IT support, and low-voltage installation services across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex from our base in Grapevine, Texas. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Techrepair DFW. They govern every service we perform at your home or business, every remote support session, our telephone and SMS/text lines, our AI phone assistant, and your use of techrepairdfw.com and any subdomain (the "Site," and together with the services, the "Services"). By booking an appointment, approving a quote, calling or texting us, or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you are booking on behalf of a business or another person, you represent that you have the authority to bind that party to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services We Provide

  • We come to you: services are performed on-site at your home or business, or remotely by screen-share with your permission. Remote sessions begin only after you authorize access and end when the session ends
  • We provide computer and device repair, IT support, network and Wi-Fi setup, data recovery and migration, and low-voltage installation (such as cameras, access control, and structured cabling), as described at booking
  • Scope of work: a service covers only what we quoted and you approved. If we discover additional or unrelated problems mid-job, we will tell you and quote that work separately before performing it. You are never obligated to approve additional work
  • We may decline, pause, or stop a job where the equipment or environment is unsafe, where the work would be unlawful, or where we are asked to bypass security, activation, or ownership protections we cannot verify you are authorized to remove
  • Service availability, technicians, and arrival windows depend on scheduling, location, weather, and safety, and are not guaranteed for a specific person or exact time

3. Diagnostic Fee and Quotes

  • Our on-site diagnostic visit is $64.99. This fee covers the diagnostic assessment and the trip to your location
  • If you approve the recommended repair during the same visit, the $64.99 diagnostic fee is applied toward the cost of that repair
  • The diagnostic fee is earned when the assessment is performed. If you decline the recommended repair, the diagnostic fee is retained for the work done and is not credited unless you approve the quoted repair the same day
  • If you later call back to proceed, the price we originally quoted stands; we do not re-quote or discount a previously declined quote
  • Beyond the diagnostic, we tell you what the work will cost before it begins, and you decide whether to proceed. We do not perform billable repair work without your approval
  • Quotes are valid for fourteen (14) days unless stated otherwise. Parts pricing and availability can change if a quote lapses

4. Appointments, Rescheduling, and Access

  • Appointment times are confirmed by a technician before arrival; we will contact you to confirm the arrival window
  • To reschedule, call or text 469-293-2893 as early as you can. There is no charge to reschedule with reasonable notice
  • If nobody authorized is available at the service address at the scheduled time, we will attempt to reach you and reschedule. Repeated missed appointments may require prepayment of the diagnostic fee to rebook
  • You agree to provide safe, lawful access to the work area and the devices to be serviced, and to have an adult (18+) present for on-site work
  • We may reschedule for technician availability, weather, illness, or safety, and will notify you as early as we reasonably can

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due when the work is completed, unless we agree otherwise in writing
  • We accept the payment methods listed at booking. Card payments are processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors; we do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems
  • If we cannot resolve the issue, you do not pay for the attempted repair labor. The diagnostic fee, and any parts ordered at your request, are excepted where disclosed to you up front
  • Parts ordered specifically for your job at your approval are non-refundable once ordered, except as required by law or the manufacturer
  • Past-due balances may be referred for collection. You agree to pay the amounts due, and where permitted by law, reasonable costs of collection. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us to resolve a concern are a breach of these Terms

6. Workmanship Warranty

  • Our workmanship and the parts we supply are warranted for ninety (90) days from the date the job is completed
  • If the same problem we fixed returns within 90 days, we return and make it right at no additional labor charge for that same issue
  • The warranty covers only the specific repair we performed. It does not cover new or unrelated problems; physical or liquid damage occurring after the job (drops, spills, power surges); malware reinfection caused by user activity; software, settings, or hardware changed by you or a third party after our visit; or normal wear of consumable parts
  • Manufacturer warranties on parts, where longer than 90 days, pass through to you to the extent the manufacturer allows
  • This limited warranty is the only warranty we provide and is subject to the disclaimer and limitation of liability sections below

7. Your Data, Backups, and Devices

  • Back up first: you are solely responsible for maintaining a current backup of your data before any service. Repairs, upgrades, recoveries, and reinstalls carry inherent risk to stored data
  • Except where liability cannot be limited by law, we are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, data, software, or configurations. If a job is data-sensitive, tell us before we begin and we can often perform or quote a backup first
  • We access only what the specific repair reasonably requires, and we handle anything we see in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data we recover, migrate, or back up for you is delivered to you and removed from our equipment when the job closes, unless you ask us in writing to retain it
  • You represent and warrant that you own, or are authorized to service, every device you give us access to, including all associated accounts, credentials, and stored content
  • You will not ask us to install pirated or unlicensed software, bypass activation or ownership locks you cannot show you control, or perform any unlawful work. We will refuse such requests

8. SMS / Text Messaging and Phone Communications

When you provide your phone number, you agree we may call or text you about your service request, including appointment confirmations and reminders, arrival-window and en-route updates, quotes, invoices and billing notices, warranty and follow-up messages, and replies to your questions. After hours or when our line is busy, your call may be answered by an automated AI phone assistant that collects scheduling details, and calls may be monitored, recorded, and transcribed for quality, training, and dispute resolution where one-party consent applies under Texas law. We do not send marketing texts without separate prior express written consent, and marketing consent is never a condition of service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with your service activity. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance; service messages necessary to complete an active job may still be sent. Your mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing. These messaging terms are governed by, and should be read together with, the SMS/Text Messaging and TCPA consent section of our Privacy Policy.

9. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact and device information and a safe, lawful working environment for the technician
  • Be present, or have an authorized adult present, during on-site service, and secure pets and hazards
  • Disclose anything unusual that could affect the work, including failing drives, prior repairs, liquid damage, or critical data
  • Maintain your own backups and software licenses, and keep your account recovery information accessible
  • Use the Services and the Site only for lawful purposes and not to infringe the rights of others

10. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, the Techrepair DFW name and marks, page layouts, and software, are owned by Techrepair DFW or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for your personal or internal business purposes related to our Services. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, frame, sell, or create derivative works from the Site or our content without our prior written permission. Any third-party software we install on your behalf remains subject to that software's own license terms, which you agree to comply with.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except for the limited 90-day workmanship warranty expressly stated above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a repair will resolve every related issue, that a device will be free of future faults, that recovered data will be complete, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent Texas law allows, our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a service is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business, lost revenue, loss of use, or loss or corruption of data, even if we were advised such damages were possible and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct. Any claim arising out of or relating to a service must be brought within one (1) year after the service date, or it is permanently barred.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Techrepair DFW and its members, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services or the Site, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your representation that you were authorized to have us service a device, account, or data that you did not in fact own or control.

14. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute between you and Techrepair DFW are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Contact us first: most issues are resolved with one phone call, and you agree to give us written notice and a good-faith opportunity to resolve any dispute informally before starting a formal proceeding. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within thirty (30) days, you and Techrepair DFW agree that the dispute will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer rules, seated in Tarrant County, Texas, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information. You and Techrepair DFW each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim, and only that claim, will proceed in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, to whose exclusive jurisdiction and venue you consent. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by notifying us in writing at the contact below within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms.

15. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility or internet outages, supply-chain or parts shortages, labor disruptions, illness, or government action. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected work.

16. General Terms

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, the approved quote for your job, and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede prior discussions
  • Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision is enforced to the maximum extent permitted
  • No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later
  • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we revise the "Last updated" date below the title and post the new version here; the date changes only when the Terms actually change. Changes apply to services booked after the change is posted, and the version in effect when you booked governs that job. Your continued use of the Site or the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
