Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and Scope
Techrepair DFW LLC ("Techrepair DFW," "we," "us," or "our") provides mobile computer repair, IT support, and low-voltage installation services across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex from our base in Grapevine, Texas. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to techrepairdfw.com and any subdomain (the "Site"), our telephone and SMS/text lines, our AI phone assistant, and the services we perform at your home or business (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Site or the Services, or by providing us your information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and supplements our Terms of Service.
2. Information You Provide to Us
- • Identity and contact data: your name, telephone number(s), email address, and the service address where work is performed, provided when you call, text, book online, complete a form, or interact with our AI phone assistant
- • Service data: device type, make and model, the problem you describe, access credentials you choose to share for a repair, and other details reasonably necessary to diagnose and perform the work
- • Scheduling data: appointment date, time, and arrival window, processed through our third-party scheduling provider
- • Transaction data: quotes, invoices, amounts, and service history. Card payments are processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors; we do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems
- • Communications: the content of messages, emails, call notes, and any feedback or reviews you provide
3. Information We Collect Automatically
- • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 helps us understand Site usage (pages viewed, approximate geographic region derived from IP, device and browser type, and session duration)
- • Session analytics: Microsoft Clarity records anonymized interactions such as scrolling, clicks, and navigation (heatmaps and session replays) to improve the Site. Clarity is configured to mask text you type into form fields
- • Advertising measurement: Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) conversion tools tell us when an ad interaction leads to a contact or booking, so we can measure campaign performance. We use these for measurement, not to sell your data
- • Attribution data: the landing page, referring URL, and any campaign tags are stored in your browser's session storage as first-party data so we understand how you found us; this clears when you end your browser session
- • Cookies and similar technologies set by the services above. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; the Site remains functional if you do
4. Telephone Calls and the AI Phone Assistant
- • After business hours, or when our line is busy, your call may be answered by an automated AI phone assistant that collects your name, number, and service need in order to schedule a visit
- • Calls to and from our business lines may be monitored, recorded, and transcribed for scheduling accuracy, quality assurance, training, and dispute resolution. By continuing a call after any recording notice, or by leaving a voicemail, you consent to this recording where one-party consent applies under Texas law
- • Call recordings and transcripts are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and are subject to the Data Retention section below
5. SMS / Text Messaging: Consent, Message Types, and Opt-Out
This section governs all SMS and text messaging between you and Techrepair DFW and is designed to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA messaging guidelines, and carrier requirements.
- • Your consent: When you provide your mobile number to us — by calling, texting, booking online, submitting a form on the Site, giving it to a technician or our AI assistant, or otherwise — and when you accept this Policy, you give your prior express consent to receive non-marketing text messages from us at that number relating to your service request
- • Transactional and service messages: These include appointment confirmations and reminders, arrival-window and en-route updates, quotes, invoices and billing or account notices, warranty and follow-up messages about work we performed, and replies to your questions. These are sent on the basis of the consent described above and are not marketing
- • Marketing messages: We do not send promotional or marketing text messages unless you have given separate, prior express written consent specifically for marketing (for example, by checking a clearly labeled opt-in box). Marketing consent is never a condition of purchasing any service, and you may withdraw it at any time without affecting service messages for an active job
- • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your service activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan and carrier
- • Opt-out and help: You can opt out of any text program at any time by replying STOP to a message from us; we will send one confirmation and then stop. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details below. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
- • Mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to deliver the messages described here through our messaging provider
6. Your Device and Data During Repairs
- • Repairs sometimes require access to your device, its operating system, accounts, and files. We access only what the specific repair reasonably requires and only with your authorization to perform the work
- • We do not browse, copy, export, or retain your personal files except as needed for a service you specifically requested (for example, a data recovery, migration, or backup job)
- • Data we recover, migrate, or back up for you is delivered to you and removed from our equipment when the job closes, unless you ask us in writing to retain it
- • Remote support sessions begin only with your permission; you can watch everything we do on screen, and our access ends when the session ends
- • Backups are your responsibility: we strongly recommend you maintain a current backup before any service. Except where liability cannot be limited by law, we are not responsible for loss of data, and our responsibilities and limits of liability are set out in our Terms of Service
7. How We Use Your Information
- • To provide, schedule, perform, and follow up on repairs, installations, and support
- • To prepare and send quotes, invoices, payment requests, confirmations, and warranty service
- • To respond to your questions, requests, and disputes
- • To operate, measure, secure, and improve the Site, the Services, and our advertising
- • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and misuse
- • To comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
8. How We Share Information — and What We Never Do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or for any third party's own marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services, each bound to use it only for the function we engage them for: website hosting (Netlify), our scheduling provider, PCI-compliant payment processors, the analytics and advertising platforms named above, and our telephone, SMS, and AI-answering providers. We may disclose information when required to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or Techrepair DFW. If Techrepair DFW is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Policy or a policy at least as protective.
9. Data Retention
We keep customer, job, and transaction records for as long as necessary to provide the Services, honor warranties, resolve disputes, and meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements — generally up to seven (7) years for financial and transaction records, and shorter periods for operational data once it is no longer needed. SMS and call records are retained only as long as needed for service, compliance, and dispute resolution. Analytics data follows each provider's standard retention schedule. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, as described in Your Rights, and we will do so except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it.
10. How We Protect Information
- • Encryption in transit (HTTPS with HSTS) across the Site and the systems we control
- • Access to customer information limited to personnel who need it to perform or support your job
- • Industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — the same class of practices we implement for our own cybersecurity clients
- • Routine review of the accounts and integrations that touch customer data
- • No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as and when required by applicable law
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data; to access or obtain a portable copy of it; to correct inaccuracies; to delete it; and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising in the manner those laws define. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), including the right to appeal a refused request; residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request (and the authority of any authorized agent) and respond within the time the applicable law requires — generally within 45 days, with one permitted extension. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if an appeal is denied, Texas residents may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General. We will never discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
13. Children's Privacy
Our Site and Services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we revise the "Last updated" date below the title and post the new version here; the date changes only when the Policy actually changes. Material changes that affect how we use your information will be highlighted on this page. Your continued use of the Site or Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
