What We Fix
Software, network, and setup problems on smart TVs and streaming devices.
Slow menus and lag
You press a button and wait. The remote feels a few seconds behind. This is the most common call we get on TVs more than a few years old.
Apps crashing or freezing
Netflix, YouTube, Prime, or Hulu closes mid-show, will not open, or keeps asking you to sign in again.
Buffering and low quality
The picture goes soft or stops to load. Most of the time this is the network at the TV, not the TV.
WiFi drops at the TV
The TV says it is connected but nothing loads, or it disconnects every evening when the house gets busy.
Sound bar, receiver, and HDMI
No sound, sound out of sync, or the TV and sound bar will not work from one remote.
New TV or streaming box setup
Accounts, apps, remote, and sound all working together, with someone to show you how, so you can start watching.
Every Major Smart TV Platform
Each platform fails in its own way. We work on all of them.
Samsung (Tizen)
Laggy menus, apps that close on their own, and update problems on Samsung smart TVs.
LG (webOS)
Slow launcher, apps that freeze, and sign-in loops on LG TVs.
Roku TVs
Channels that crash, remote pairing trouble, and WiFi drops on TCL, Hisense, and other Roku-built sets.
Google TV and Android TV
Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Philips sets that stutter, run out of storage, or lose their account.
Amazon Fire TV
Fire TV sets and sticks that buffer, restart, or fill up with apps you never use.
Apple TV
Setup, account sign-ins, and getting it talking to your TV, sound bar, and network.
Why Smart TVs Slow Down
A smart TV is a small computer built into a screen, and manufacturers spend their money on the screen. The chip and memory inside are often the lowest-cost parts that will run the software on day one.
Then the TV keeps changing. Updates add features. Apps grow. Background services for ads and usage tracking take their share of the same small chip. A TV that felt fine in year one can feel slow by year three, with no fault to fix.
Sometimes the right answer is not a repair at all. A dedicated streaming device has a faster chip and gets updated more often, and the TV becomes a good screen. We will tell you honestly when that is the better move for your TV, and when the TV itself is worth working on.
Buffering Is Usually the Network, Not the TV
Most TVs sit at the edge of the house, behind a wall, far from the router. A new TV or a new streaming box will not fix a weak signal.
Signs it is the network
Your phone streams fine in the same room, the picture drops in and out, or it only buffers in the evening when everyone is online.
Signs it is the TV
Menus lag even with nothing playing, apps crash right after opening, or the remote responds late on every press.
We check both at your house, so you do not buy a streaming box to fix a WiFi problem or replace a router to fix a TV problem. If the network is the cause, the lasting fix is coverage built for the whole house. See our whole-home WiFi service.

Smart TV Questions
Why is my smart TV so slow?
Most smart TVs ship with a small, low-cost processor and little memory. Each software update and each new app asks more of that hardware, so menus lag and apps stall as the TV ages. A weak WiFi signal at the TV can look like the same problem. A visit tells us which one you have.
Is my TV the problem or my WiFi?
Often it is the WiFi. If other devices in the room stream fine while the TV buffers, or the picture is sharp for a minute and then drops, the network is the likely cause. If menus are slow even when nothing is streaming, the TV itself is more likely. We check both on site so you do not pay to fix the wrong one.
Can you fix a TV screen or the panel?
No. We handle software, network, and setup problems on smart TVs and streaming devices. Cracked screens, lines across the picture, and dead backlights are hardware repairs that usually cost more than the TV is worth, and we will tell you that plainly instead of selling you a job.
Do you mount TVs?
No. We do not offer TV mounting. We handle the setup, accounts, network, and troubleshooting side.
How much does it cost?
The visit starts with the standard diagnostic shown above. After we find the cause, we quote any work on site before we start, because it depends on the TV and what we find. You approve it or you do not.
Will a new streaming box fix an old slow TV?
Often, yes. A dedicated streaming device has a faster chip than most built-in TV software, and you use the TV as a screen. It is not right for every TV. We tell you whether it makes sense for yours before you buy anything.
