How Security Camera Pricing Works in Dallas-Fort Worth
No two buildings price the same, so we don't quote blind numbers over the phone. We walk your facility first, map camera placement for the coverage you actually need, then hand you an itemized quote before any work begins. Here's what determines your price:
Camera Count & Placement
Entries, registers, sales floor, storage, parking — coverage goals set the camera count. Indoor domes and outdoor weatherproof bullets carry different hardware.
Wiring Runs
Cable distance, ceiling type, attic vs conduit, and whether existing cabling can be reused — labor follows the wire.
Recording & Retention
Resolution, camera count, and how many days of footage you keep determine NVR and storage sizing.
Integrations
Remote viewing, motion alerts, and access control tie-ins shape the system design and configuration time.
The quote is itemized and there's no obligation. You'll know exactly what your system costs before we run a single cable.
Security Cameras for Every Type of DFW Business
Camera footage settles disputes, deters theft, documents incidents for insurance, and lets you check on your business from anywhere. We design systems around how your building actually operates — not a one-size package — across the entire DFW Metroplex.
Who We Install For
- Offices & coworking — entries, server rooms, and after-hours monitoring tied to your access control
- Retail & restaurants — registers, sales floor, stockroom, and parking with fast clip export for incidents
- Warehouses & distribution — docks, high-value inventory, and yard coverage with long-range outdoor cameras
- Medical & professional offices — entries and records areas placed to respect patient privacy requirements
One Team for Cameras, Cabling & Network
Camera installers who don't understand networks leave you with insecure, unreliable systems. We're an IT company first — the same team handles the cameras, the wiring, and the network they run on.
- Structured cabling — we run the Cat6 and PoE cabling your cameras need
- Network security — camera systems segmented and hardened with cybersecurity best practices
- Access control — door access control and cameras installed as one integrated system
- Ongoing support — small business IT support for everything after the install
Recent Commercial Security Work
We recently completed a commercial access control installation in Dallas — mag locks, card readers, and ADA push-to-exit buttons on a multi-door office build-out. Camera and access control projects use the same low-voltage skill set, the same wiring standards, and the same attention to fire code. Business Security Camera Questions
How much does business security camera installation cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Camera system pricing depends on how many cameras you need, indoor vs outdoor placement, wiring runs, recording requirements, and whether you want remote viewing or access control integration. No two buildings price the same, so we don't quote blind numbers. We do an on-site assessment, map camera placement for full coverage, and give you an itemized quote before any work begins — no obligation.
Should my business use wired or wireless security cameras?
For commercial installations we recommend wired IP cameras with PoE (Power over Ethernet) in almost every case. One cable carries both power and video, there are no batteries to change or WiFi dropouts to troubleshoot, and footage records reliably even when the network is busy. Wireless cameras have their place for spots where running cable is impractical, but a business that depends on its footage should be on PoE.
Can you integrate security cameras with our access control system?
Yes. Cameras paired with access control give you video verification of every entry event — you see who badged in, not just which credential was used. We install both systems and tie them together, so a door event pulls up the matching camera footage. If you already have one system, we can usually integrate the other with it.
How long is camera footage stored?
That depends on your NVR storage size, camera count, and resolution. Most of our commercial installs are sized for 30 days of continuous recording, which covers the typical window for discovering an incident. Businesses with compliance requirements or higher risk can be sized for 60-90 days. We calculate storage during the assessment so retention matches your actual needs.
Can I view my business cameras from my phone?
Yes. Every system we install includes secure remote viewing — live feeds and recorded footage from your phone, tablet, or desktop. We configure this properly with strong credentials and network security rather than the insecure port-forwarding shortcuts that expose camera systems to the internet.
Can you take over or upgrade an existing camera system?
Usually, yes. If your building has existing coax or network cabling, we can often reuse it and upgrade the cameras and recorder rather than rewiring everything. We assess what's salvageable during the walkthrough — keeping usable infrastructure is one of the biggest ways to control project cost.
Are business security cameras legal in Texas?
Yes, with common-sense limits. Texas allows video surveillance of your own business premises — entries, registers, sales floors, parking, and storage areas. Cameras are not allowed where people expect privacy, like restrooms and changing areas. Audio recording has stricter rules under Texas one-party consent law. We place cameras to keep your system useful and compliant.
