The Machine: Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4535i
The 4535i is a high-volume monochrome office copier built for busy workgroups. With 4 paper trays, a single-pass duplex automatic document feeder (DADF), and speeds up to 35 pages per minute, it handles heavy daily print and copy loads. This particular unit was the primary copier for an office and had been running consistently for years.
What We Serviced
Waste toner bottle — The waste toner collection container had reached capacity. When this fills up, the printer alerts the user and will eventually stop printing to prevent loose toner from contaminating the internal components. We removed the full waste bottle from the front access panel and installed a replacement.
GPR-57 toner cartridge area — We inspected the toner cartridge bay, cleaned any accumulated toner dust from the cartridge seating area, and verified the current GPR-57 cartridge was feeding correctly. Toner dust buildup around the cartridge slot can cause poor print quality and error messages if left unchecked.
General inspection — While the front panel was open, we inspected the drum unit, transfer roller, and fuser area for wear. Catching these items before they fail prevents unexpected breakdowns and print quality degradation.
