Fix Canon Printer Offline in Windows 11: Complete Guide

Canon printers showing offline is a common frustration. Here’s how to get your Canon back online in Windows 11.

Why Canon Printers Go Offline

Fix 1: Wake Up the Printer

Canon printers enter deep sleep:

  1. Press any button on the printer
  2. Wait for it to wake up
  3. Check if status changes to online

    net stop spooler

  1. On printer, print Network Configuration page
  2. Or access printer menu > Network > TCP/IP settings
  3. Note the IP address

Update Windows Printer Port

  1. Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  2. Click Canon printer
  3. Printer properties
  4. Ports tab
  5. Add Port > Standard TCP/IP Port
  6. Enter printer’s current IP address
  7. Complete wizard and select new port

Set Static IP on Printer
