Locked Out? We Get You Back In
Windows and Mac Password Help in DFW
Forgetting a password is common. Losing years of photos, tax records and email behind a login screen is the part that hurts. Our techs come to your home or office, confirm the computer is yours, and work on getting you back in without wiping what is on it.
We see this most with older parents, with computers that sat unused for months, with machines left behind by a former employee, and with passwords changed right before the owner forgot them.

What we help with
-
Windows sign-in problems
The login screen will not accept your password or PIN, the account is locked, or Windows says the account is disabled.
-
Microsoft account lockouts
When the machine signs in with a Microsoft account, the problem can be with the account, not the computer. We work out which one first.
-
Mac login and Apple ID
A Mac that will not accept the user password, or an Apple ID tied to a machine you can no longer unlock.
-
Encrypted drives
BitLocker and FileVault protect your files well, and that also means a recovery key matters. We help you find it where it exists.
-
Office and former-employee computers
A workstation nobody has the login for, or an admin account that left with someone. We can help with computers you have the right to access.
-
Setting it up so it does not happen again
A sign-in method you will remember, a working recovery option, and a place to keep your passwords that is not a sticky note.
How a visit works
We ask for proof the computer belongs to you or your business before we begin. That is for your protection as well as ours. After a short diagnostic we tell you what approach fits your situation, and you get a firm written price before we touch the machine.
If getting in would put your files at risk, we say so before you choose. Once you are in, we help you set up a way to stay in. The work is covered by our 30-day labor warranty.
Diagnostic visit: $64.99 on weekdays. It is one flat visit fee, not hourly. The tier depends only on the drive from us to you: $84.99 if you are more than a 30-minute drive from us, $109.99 if more than a 45-minute drive, and $150 if more than an hour's drive or on weekends. The repair is priced separately, in writing, after the diagnostic.
What we work with
Common setups on the machines we unlock:
- •Windows 10 and Windows 11 local and Microsoft accounts
- •Windows PIN and Windows Hello sign-in
- •BitLocker encrypted drives
- •macOS user accounts and FileVault
- •Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS and Acer laptops and desktops
- •Office computers on small business networks
When access is possible and when it is not
We tell you honestly where you stand. It depends on:
Usually worth doing
- •A local account on an unencrypted drive, where files can stay in place
- •A recovery key or linked account that can be recovered
- •A machine you own and can show you own
Points toward replacing
- •An encrypted drive with no recovery key and no linked account, where files may not be recoverable
- •A computer that is not yours to open
- •A machine so old that setting it up fresh costs less than the time to unlock it
If we cannot get in, we say so up front rather than keeping you waiting.
Common questions
Will you erase my files to get me in?
Our goal is to get you in with your files untouched. If that is not possible for your setup, we tell you before any decision is made.
Do I need to be there?
Yes. You or an authorized person must be present, and we ask for proof of ownership.
Can you reset my email or bank password?
No. Those accounts live on company servers and only the provider can reset them. We can help you work through the provider's recovery process.
How do I stop forgetting passwords?
We set up recovery options during the visit and can show you a simple password manager.
