A slow computer has a reason, and it is rarely the one the first Google result says. Sometimes it is a worn-out hard drive, sometimes too little memory, sometimes unwanted software, sometimes a machine that is overheating and slowing itself down on purpose.
We come to you, work out which of those is going on, and recommend the fix that actually pays off. That may be a drive upgrade, a clean-up, or telling you the machine is not worth more money.

A computer that needs five minutes before it is usable. On older machines this is very often the storage drive, and the difference after replacing it is large.

Freezing and the spinning cursor
Programs that stop responding, windows that hang, or a mouse that stutters. We separate software problems from a drive or memory that is on its way out.

Fans loud, machine hot
Heat makes computers slow down to protect themselves. Dust, old thermal paste or a blocked vent can be behind it.

Slow after an update
A machine that was fine until a Windows update, then dragged. We find out whether it is drivers, leftover files or hardware that cannot keep up.

Pages that take forever, tabs that crash, extensions you did not add. This can be the browser, the network, or unwanted software.

A full drive and too little RAM make every task slower. We tell you which upgrade is worth it for what you do.
How a visit works
We measure first, so we are not guessing. After the diagnostic you get a firm written price for what we recommend, and we do not begin until you approve it. If the answer is a part, we say which part and why it will make a difference you notice.
When the work is done, you see the machine start and run. We do not promise numbers we cannot back up. You decide whether the machine feels right before we go, and the work carries our 30-day labor warranty.
Diagnostic visit: $64.99 on weekdays. It is one flat visit fee, not hourly. The tier depends only on the drive from us to you: $84.99 if you are more than a 30-minute drive from us, $109.99 if more than a 45-minute drive, and $150 if more than an hour's drive or on weekends. The repair is priced separately, in writing, after the diagnostic.

Tune up or replace
A slow computer is often worth fixing. What we look at:
Usually worth doing
- •The processor is still capable and the problem is storage, memory or software
- •The machine runs hot only because it is clogged with dust
- •A drive upgrade would bring it back to usable speed
Points toward replacing
- •The processor is too old for current software
- •The board cannot take more memory or a modern drive
- •The cost of the upgrade is close to a new machine
- •Windows will no longer install on it
We will not sell you an upgrade that does not fix the problem.
Common questions
Do I need a new computer?
Often not. We find the actual cause first, and if the machine is worth keeping we tell you why.
Will you delete my files?
Your files are protected first. If the work puts them at risk, we say so before you decide.
Is it a virus?
It can be. We check for it as part of the diagnostic, and if so the work moves to virus removal.
Does an SSD really make a difference?
On a machine that still uses a spinning drive, usually yes, and it is often the single most useful upgrade. We confirm that your machine can take one.
